This morning I bought a SanDisk Ultra 1 TB for $130. After reading your post I looked up the SanDisk Extreme to see the price difference, (1 TB @$170) BUT they have their 512 GB cards on sale for $69 so I grabbed 2 of those for practically the same price as a 1 TB SanDisk Ultra.

The Extreme has a faster read/write speed than the Ultra. Apparently there is a speed cap on the SD slot in the Switch, so getting the Extreme is pointless unless it's the same price. What you want is the Ultra, which is the fastest it can read. My take on them. Ultra - Your everyday card when you just need storage.
